Quality Assurance
Questions about internal quality assurance mechanisms and evaluation of academic performance.
The Faculty of Computer Science at UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur measures the effectiveness of its teaching methods and learning environment through a systematic, data-driven evaluation mechanism that aligns with its internal quality assurance framework. At the end of each semester, all students are required to complete a learning evaluation survey, covering pedagogical quality, lecturer professionalism, and the adequacy of learning facilities and infrastructure. The survey results are compiled and analyzed by the faculty's Quality Assurance Unit and then discussed during the Management Review Meeting (RTM) held each semester with faculty and study program leadership. The average survey scores over the past three years have been consistently above three point zero, falling within the "good" category, indicating general student satisfaction with the teaching and learning process. When the results highlight areas of concern, the faculty immediately initiates corrective actions, such as organizing teaching workshops, updating course syllabi, or improving classroom facilities. These processes align with Ministry of Education Regulation Number Three of Two Thousand Twenty on National Higher Education Standards, which mandates ongoing evaluation and continuous quality improvement, and are reinforced by Rector’s Regulation Number Twenty-Five of Two Thousand Twenty-Three, which governs the implementation of internal quality assurance systems at the faculty level.
